Works & assemblies catalog
The catalog is your reusable price book — save the works and assemblies you quote again and again so they drop into any estimate ready-priced.
Works
A work is a single priced item you use often — a unit of labour, a material, a piece of equipment. Group works into categories, give each a unit and a price, and they become one-click line items. Editing the catalog is controlled by its own permission, separate from building estimates.
Assemblies
An assembly bundles several works or materials into one sellable item — think “square metre of tiled floor” that rolls up adhesive, tiles, grout and labour. Add an assembly to an estimate and it expands into its component lines, so you quote a familiar unit while keeping the detail underneath.
- Component items — each piece of an assembly carries its own quantity and price.
- Manual assembly price — set one price for the whole assembly and the component sale prices scale to match, while your underlying costs stay untouched.
- Expands on insert — dropping an assembly into an estimate adds its lines, which you can then adjust like any other.
Units of measure
The catalog includes its own units panel — metres, hours, pieces and so on — shared across estimates and the rest of the pack. You can manage units here without needing the Purchases add-on; a unit that’s in use somewhere can’t be deleted until it’s freed up.
